What is RSS…
RSS Feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest updates in one place, as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.
So instead of having to come back to check when this site is updated, an RSS Feed brings that content to you!

How do I start using feeds?
In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is something which checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser and some are downloadable applications. A free and easy one to start with would be Google Reader.
If you click on the RSS Feed you can subscribe to it and this will add it to your news reader. Then, instead of checking back with lots of different sites to find new content, you can just view the one news reader and see all the new content there!
What else should I know?
RSS Feeds are great way to get new information on the things you like. You might start with an RSS Feed from St Andrew Street, but that should only be the beginning. You'll find lots of other sites have RSS Feeds too and in time, you'll have many feeds in your news reader.
